Message to the Members

Since the new coronavirus started spreading in Japan, the Club has been taking steps to prevent infection, canceling all Club events in March and April, and closely monitoring the situation. The virus continues to spread, and the World Health Organization has declared the outbreak a global pandemic. The Japanese government has also asked residents to refrain from holding largescale events. Thus we will cancel upcoming events including the International Buffet and Easter Brunch & Egg Hunt.

As per Kobe Club’s Article or Association (Sec. 4 Art.14), the AGA must be held within 3 months of the fiscal year end, and in keeping with recent directives from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare concerning the coronavirus, the Board of Trustees is urging the members to consider participating in the upcoming AGA by voting in advance or by proxy.

Please note that Subscription Revision Proposal 20-03 does not take into consideration the substantial loss of revenue due to the coronavirus. Please understand that additional measures may be necessary in the future.

For those who will participate directly at the AGA, please note that the buffet will be cancelled, however the restaurant will offer an AGA special menu (3700yen/person) post-AGA at the Kitano Terrace. Reservations are requested in advance.

We apologize to all members and ask for your understanding of our efforts to help prevent the spread of infection and to ensure the health and safety of all members and staff.

L. S. Peter Phillips
President, Board of Trustees
